Community-based Care for All San Franciscans
Everyone is welcome here, no matter your ability to pay, lack of insurance, or immigration status. We’re much more than a medical facility; we’re a health care community promoting good health for all San Franciscans.
We’re part of a large group of neighborhood clinics and healthcare providers in the San Francisco Health Network operated by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. In partnership, we provide primary care for all ages, specialty care, dentistry, emergency and trauma care, and acute care for the people of San Francisco.
Warm Up. Cool Down.
As San Francisco prepares for warmer weather with a hint of coastal breeze and fog, we’d like to remind you to continue to prioritize your health. Staying active is important, but be sure to know your limits with these simple tips:
- Warm Up. Appropriate warm-ups before any workouts or active recreation help supply your muscles with oxygen by raising your muscles’ temperature for optimal flexibility and efficiency. It also helps minimize stress on your heart.
- Get Outside. While there are many events happening throughout the City this season, simply being outdoors can improve mental health and reduce stress. It’s also a great source of Vitamin D!
- Sun Protection. Protection from UV rays is important year-round – even on foggy and cloudy days. Protect your skin by using sunscreen and wearing protective clothing when outside, even when staying in the shade!
- Cool down. Listen to your body. Be mindful of the rest you need to provide proper care for yourself and your loved ones.
Be mindful of your schedule and your medication needs and meet with your provider to create a holistic plan that is right for you.
