U.S. News recognized the 30-bed Skilled Nursing Facility at ZSFG as one of the “2025 Best Nursing Homes” – earning the highest possible achievement with a “High Performing” rating and an overall rating of 5 out of 5. The hospital is now part of the elite 19% of SNFs who have been recognized for providing essential care to our community of patients requiring short-term rehabilitation following a hospitalization for surgery, heart attack, stroke, injury or similar condition. Congratulations to the entire 4A Skill Nursing Facility team at ZSFG for being recognized as one of U.S. News 2025 Best Nursing Homes.
ZSFG recently appointed two seasoned staff members to join its nursing leadership team. ZSFG appointed Merjo Roca as Nursing Director of Specialty Care. Merjo was the Nurse Manager for the ZSFG Urgent Care Center and the ZSFG Patient Vaccine Clinic. Merjo has a diverse leadership background in outpatient and inpatient nursing, a passion for performance improvement and increasing teamwork, and a love for teaching, coaching and mentoring staff.
Since its inception almost 50 years ago, OTOP has used a combination of medication treatment, counseling services, harm reduction services, psychiatric care, specialty HIV care, and on-site hepatitis C treatment to address the many needs of our fellow S.F. residents.
Every day, our Social Medicine team works closely with patients in the Emergency Department to provide a more inclusive treatment – taking into consideration how learning and better understanding every aspect of the patient’s life can positively improve their mental and physical well-being.
