The Birthing Department at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) is partnering with Mother’s Milk Bank in San Jose to host a “Milk Drive” in August, which aligns with Breastfeeding Awareness Month.
Today, ZSFG celebrated the reopening of its 4A Skilled Nursing Facility in Building 5 after a six-month complex seismic improvement project. The unit reopened with a fresh start—and a new name: The Redwoods.
The Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition teams at ZSFG promoted colorectal cancer awareness, the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S., throughout March, including by hosting two community events (March 7 and 19) at ZSFG.

Shout-out to the Incredible HICS team! As the COVID Emergency ends, we give a heartfelt deep appreciation to our Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) team who was formally activated on March 5, 2020 – the day the first two COVID patients were identified in San Francisco.
