Outpatient Access Soft Tissue Infection Service (OASIS)

The Outpatient Access Soft Tissue Infection Service (OASIS) Clinic treats patients with fulminating or emergent soft tissue infections. Patients with chronic wounds and previously treated abscesses are not appropriate for referral to the OASIS clinic.

We serve patients with previously untreated abscesses and cellulitis and offer treatments such as:

  • I&Ds of abscesses
  • Antibiotics prescriptions

Minor Procedures Clinic

The Minor Procedure Clinic performs a small number of medically-necessary tissue removal procedures each week, including:

  • Foreign body removal
  • Removal of subcutaneous masses no larger than 6cm

Common Conditions Treated

These are some common conditions we treat:

  • Soft tissue infections
  • Abscesses
  • Foreign body removal
  • Removal of subcutaneous masses (under 6cm)

Know Before You Go

  • OASIS patients are drop-in and seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If your injury requires a minor procedure, you should drop-in during OASIS hours to be evaluated and scheduled for use of local anesthesia.
